During our college lives when Eddie was dating others and I was too...we were still friends...one morning there as a knock at our door and it was Gene, Eddie's brother. He said Eddie told me to bring his tux over here because he was going to a dance tonight and his mom and dad said he had been going out to these proms too much...so Eddie planned to come to my house to get ready for the dance. Ok...bunt was going out and would'nt be home so I took his tux and told my dad that Eddie needed to stop here later etc. when he came my dad told he had better take a shower....but he did not have a change of underwear.so my dad gave him a new pair of his so that he was clean. That made me laugh when my dad told me. Eddie called me the next day and said he would drop off my dads underwear while I was at school (Mercy College). At the time he was at Iona....our brother school.....of course my friends knew the whole story so when he came to see me.....months later....they referred to him as underwear Callaghan. Today when I talk about Eddie my partner says oh underwear Callaghan....
