Kathleen Patricia Mulligan, 90, died August 11th, 2012 in New York City.
She was born September 3rd, 1921 in Co.Cavan, Ireland into a family of 7.
Her father died a few years later and sadly the brothers and sisters were split up to live with other relatives. Her mother Eleanor then left her children behind in Ireland to work in America as a nurse to help support them.

Kathleen was educated in the Convent of Mercy, Longford then went to England to work in the wartime 1940's. In 1963 she emigrated to New York, moved into Tudor City and spent 35 years working with distinction in the Hilton Hotel reservations office.

She was a constant presence in St Agnes Church until she moved to Mary Manning Nursing home 5 years ago.

Kathleen is survived by her many nieces and nephews in the US and Ireland.
She will be remembered with great love and appreciation by her family and her closest friends in Wicklow, New York and Long Island.

She was a lovely, kind and gentle woman with a good heart and a strong and simple faith.
She made our lives better and she will be missed by us all
